Bengaluru witnessed leasing activity of around 6.0 mn sq. ft. in Q1 2022, accounting for more than one-third of the gross absorption in the country, with IT-BPM and flexible spaces continuing to be the leading demand drivers.
The city also witnessed around 2.9 mn sq. ft. of completions, taking the total stock of grade-A office space to 195 mn sq. ft. City-wide, vacancies decreased from 18% in 2021 to 16.6% at the end of the first quarter of 2022.
