TIENDANIMAL opens shop at Real Retail Park in Matosinhos

The Savills Retail Department was responsible for setting up the new shop, the brand’s second in Matosinhos and the tenth in the north of the country

The Savills Retail Department was responsible for setting up TIENDANIMAL’s new 850 sq m shop in the Real Retail Park in Matosinhos. The consultancy acted on behalf of Monteiro & Monteiro, the owner of this commercial space. This is the brand’s second shop in Matosinhos and the tenth in the north of the country.

The Real Retail Park is located in an area that is undergoing an accelerated phase of urban regeneration and which has shown great dynamism with the recent opening of several supermarkets and shops, as well as the installation of offices for many companies.

Savills has supported the ISKAYPET group’s growth strategy in Portugal, in particular with the opening of a Kiwoko shop in 2023 at Liz Shopping in Leiria, with around 1,200 square metres, and now with the opening of this new TIENDANIMAL space in Matosinhos. ISKAYPET is the Iberian Peninsula’s leading animal care group, with more than 300 shops and 60 clinics, a veterinary hospital and a team of 3,600 people.

“We are excited about this new opening in Matosinhos, which allows us to offer visitors a modern space filled with products dedicated to the care and well-being of all animals,” said representatives from TIENDANIMAL.

Rita Vasconcelos, Senior Consultant at Savills, comments: “We are very pleased to be accompanying the ISKAYPET Group in its plan to expand its brands in Portugal. This new opening of TIENDANIMAL in Matosinhos, in a fast-growing and dynamic area, will allow the brand to continue to expand its base and reach new customers. It’s a pleasure to accompany the growth of this group’s brands, a benchmark in their sector. This operation and others that the Savills Retail Department has been developing in the region have contributed to increasing the dynamism of various areas, with the placement of several renowned brands.”
