Savills expands management portfolio with appointment on mixed-use building Berghaus in Amsterdam, the Netherlands

Savills has been appointed by investment and asset manager, Orion Investment Partners, to manage the newly built Berghaus project, located at Koningin Wilhelminaplein 2-4 in Amsterdam. This further expands Savills management portfolio of mixed-use properties.

Berghaus is being developed by Boelens de Gruyter and is scheduled for completion in January 2025. The development comprises ca. 21,000 sq m of office space (LFA), a commercial ground floor featuring a supermarket and hospitality offer, a parking garage with 256 parking spaces, indoor bicycle storage, and 288 rental apartments. Of these, 139 apartments are designated for the private rental sector, 141 are categorised as mid-rent apartments, and eight are allocated as social rental apartments.

The "Work, Play, Live" concept is at the core of Berghaus, fostering a blend of offices, residences, and retail/hospitality venues in the heart of the Amsterdam Fashion District in Amsterdam West.

Berghaus aims to attain a BREEAM Excellent certification, delivering top-tier sustainability standards for occupiers and residents of the building. Its location near Lelylaan Station ensures excellent accessibility for its users.

Savills is already working with Orion Investment Partners, including managing the office building Rembrandt Park One, located on Nachtwachtlaan 20-24 in Amsterdam.

Max Mansholt, Commercial Manager at Savills Netherlands, says: “Berghaus marks the final phase of a comprehensive area development plan that will transform the Amsterdam Fashion District into a dynamic area where living, working, and leisure seamlessly come together. We are pleased to expand our portfolio with this appointment and look forward to providing tenants and users with a pleasant and sustainable environment."
