Love it or Hate it, Emily in Paris is back, and this time the Côte d'Azur plays centre stage in the opening episodes of the Netflix hit. True to character, like everything the infamous Emily does, she ruffles a few feathers along the way, both on and off screen.
Fashion, faux pas, French accents and aside, it is hard not to fall for the beautiful scenery of the French Rivera, as the series shines a light on the South of France. So all aboard as we explore the hit settings of the show and hint how you can add a little Emily to your next trip.
Series creator Darren Star and Production designer Anne Seibel found their muse in the Riviera setting of Villefranche-sur-Mer with the Côte d’Azur’s beauty, scenery, lifestyle and culture playing the role of supporting actress to Oscar worthy perfection.
And we couldn’t agree more, in fact, we think we have found Emily’s next perfect pad in this beautiful Villefranche Artists apartment – what do you think?
Carefully splicing imagery from Saint-Tropez, Cap Ferrat, Villefranche-sur-Mer and the surrounding area to create a heady mix, Emily is seen working her way through the very best the Côte d’Azur has to offer. Property, lifestyle, the sunshine and gastronomy truly take centre stage and showcase just some of the things we love about where we live.
Enthusiastic fans or dedicated tourists may be a little disappointed that these locations are not all actually one and the same or that the elegant Pullman express doesn’t yet deliver them to the seaside (a girl can dream) but let’s give Emily a break – this is a modern day fairy tale with a fabulous fashion twist. And what is missing in a few geographical accuracies makes up for in the sun drenched Mediterranean shores where cobbled streets, terracotta medieval homes, luxury villas and cultural gems deliver a much needed dose of Vitamin D (or sea!) during an otherwise chilly December and January.
The Hotel du Cap Ferrat plays host to the girls weekend get-away, whilst La Reserve on the Beaulieu-sur-Mer waterfront is the backdrop for sun lounger station and those lucky amongst you could explore these beautiful gems yourself, until then the selection of properties below provide serious luxury waterfront appeal.
Do you know the way to Saint-Tropez? Emily in Paris might need a little guidance… At one point the character poses the exact question whilst heading in the opposite direction yet thankfully she arrives in one piece and can be seen exploring the charming boutiques, cobbled streets which house attractive gems such as this apartment, and tucking into the best of the best from Saint-Tropez’s ever popular Le Sénéquier, an institution in itself. And whatever you do, definitely try the Tarte de Saint-Tropez, well - when in Rome….

Those keen to lunch on the beach will not be disappointed. Whilst they may not serve Champère in real life, Plage Paloma in the ever beautiful Cap Ferrat definitely delivers authentic Riviera beachfront vibes as seen on screen. Whilst we await the return of summer days explore the beautiful Cap Ferrat peninsula on foot or from the comfort of your own home with our Guide on the Cap Ferrat Coastline.
And to finish the night whilst we cannot guarantee a soiree as decadent as delivered by Netflix or the infamous Chateau Dieter of Grasse you will definitely be spoilt for choice for inspiration here where beautiful Riviera homes complete with swimming pools would be the perfect backdrop.

P.S. Little known fact, we once used Instagram to ask Savoir for Emily’s help, we thought her plucky character, international appeal and endless ideas would bring a little Je ne sais quoi, the offer still stands Emily – just don’t forget to check out our Instagram for some property inspiration!
