CHICAGO (September 17, 2024) – Savills represented The Family Institute at Northwestern University in lease negotiations for its new downtown offices. The organization will move from its current office at Willboughby Tower on South Michigan Avenue to a nearly 15,000-square-foot full floor at 444 N. Michigan Ave.

“The Family Institute was seeking a more efficient single floor solution as it had grown and spread out over four floors at 8 South Michigan Avenue, said Savills Vice Chairman John Goodman. “We identified an opportunity at the 444 N. Michigan Ave. building that allows the organization to occupy a full floor, streamline its operations, and direct more financial resources to its important mission. The Family Institute’s new location demonstrates their commitment to Michigan Avenue and being in the center of the city it serves.”

The Family Institute is a leading relationship-based behavioral health organization that provides clinical services, conducts research, and educates the next generation of aspiring mental health professionals. Savills Eric Feinberg, Isabel (Preskill) Schwartz, and Brandon Nasatir served on the real estate planning team along with Goodman. The Family Institute will occupy its new location this fall.

The property is surrounded by numerous retail, restaurant, hotel, and entertainment options, and is easily accessed by public transportation. Olivia Wirth and Sandy Macaluso of Golub & Company represented the building in lease negotiations.
