Founded in 2004 VistaJet revolutionized private aviation, offering unparalleled service and cabin experiences matched with efficiency, reliability and a wealth of destinations. As the only global private aviation company VistaJet are perfectly placed to respond to the growing appeal of the private aviation industry.
2021 was a record year for the private aviation industry with 3.3 million private flights completed worldwide (WingX), and signs of emerging new trends in planning, booking and travel. The world of private aviation offers punctuality, privacy, security and a return to a forgotten glamour of travel and adventure. Savills sat down with Matteo Atti, EVP of Marketing and Innovation at VistaJet to discuss the rise in popularity of private aviation, why Nice is the perfect travel hub and what to expect when travelling in style.
The pandemic dramatically changed the way we live, work and communicate, how is VistaJet evolving to match?
MA: At VistaJet, we continue to invest in our infrastructure, growing our team and fleet to anticipate the needs of our Members. As the world continues to open up, we continue to support the flexibility executives need, while maintaining connectivity during flight. Our fleet ranges from mid to long-range aircraft, and our cabin concept is renowned for its consistency. The design includes a fully enabled business suite with the fastest Wi-Fi in the sky as well as a restful home away from home. For longer missions, our Members are the first to have access to a fleet of Global 7500, giving them the ability to travel up to a game-changing 17 hours non-stop — for example from Silicon Valley to Singapore.
You have a global hub in Nice. Aside from the stunning setting what made you select Nice?
MA: Having a presence in a city like Nice has proven invaluable to us in terms of engagement with our Members, being one of the most trafficked private jet hubs in the world. The central location warrants a community that attracts travellers from all over, lately, especially from the US. The volume of flights that we arrange in and out of Nice year-round proves the need for us to be present and immersed in the Cote d’Azur region — it’s a centre that enables people from all over the world to thrive from a unique business environment and is the gateway to the most desired destinations along the Mediterranean.
What can a client expect when booking and travelling with VistaJet?
MA: Privacy and excellence are the main drivers of VistaJet. Our teams of experts work 24/7 from the point of booking to the inflight experience to ensure the finest private dining is offered and pets and children are cared for by our best-inclass cabin services team. Our Members also turn to us for help at their final destination, which is why we launched VistaJet’s Private World in 2020. We have an entire team dedicated to ensuring Members travel seamlessly because every flight and Member is unique.
Is there one particular VistaJet client?
MA: VistaJet flies corporations, governments and private individuals all over the world. Great ambassadors like Jon Rahm, Charles Leclerc, and Carlos Sainz represent what are some of our Member’s passions, such as racing and golf – in truth, all of our clients are inspiring leaders from all around the world.
What is next in this incredible journey?
MA: The adventure never stops. We are always collaborating with world-class partners and adding to our Private World portfolio. More to come!
