At Savills, Joana is responsible for the execution and overall operations of Architecture Team, with focus on the strong commitment to deliever the highest quality of Savills services.

Joana Couto started her professional career working at Joao Mendes Ribeiro arquitetura, Coimbra followed by Quintana Architects, Barcelona, working in  a Hospitality project.

From 2003 to 2009 she founded her own company, Black Box, a multi-disciplinary Design Studio, providing digital marketing content for architectural offices and real state. In 2009, one of it´s clients, Inplenitus architecture, invited her to lead a team focused on architecture competitions, where she stayed until 2013. In 2014 moves to Singapore, joining Hirsch & Bedner Associates, working in High-end Hospitality and Residential projects as Senior Interior Designer.

After 4 years, Joana joined WeWork as Creative Director for SEA and Pacific territories, managing 4 Regional teams of interior designers, based respectively in Singapore, Sydney, Seoul and Tokyo. In 2021 joins SCDA Interiors, Singapore, being responsible for overall interior design execution and operations of luxury hospitality and residential projects.

Back to Portugal, Joana is joining Savills as Associate Director of Architecture team.
