Savills closes two deals at Liberty 227 and strengthens presence on Avenida da Liberdade

Demand for premium offices on Avenida da Liberdade remains strong, confirming companies’ interest in prime, modern and sustainable locations in Lisbon.

Reflecting this dynamic, Savills has completed two leasing transactions at Liberty 227, a fully refurbished office building on the city’s main business artery, which still has six floors available for the installation of new occupiers.

As a result of a full refurbishment, Liberty 227 preserves the urban character of the avenue while incorporating current standards of efficiency, comfort and sustainability. The building offers around 1,475 sq m of office space, originally distributed over nine floors, six of which remain available, with well‑designed layouts, abundant natural light and a communal terrace for the exclusive use of tenants.

Liberty 227 is part of Lisbon’s main office axis, in a consolidated area of services, corporate occupiers and luxury retail. Here, the combination of central location, excellent road connections, public transport and a wide range of hotels and restaurants reinforces the prestigious character of the address for companies that value their institutional presence in the city.

For Savills, the momentum at Liberty 227 illustrates the consistent demand for premium office space in refurbished buildings, with a particular focus on sustainability and ESG criteria in the Lisbon market. The consultancy advises the owner on the leasing of the building, securing transactions that combine strategic location, product quality and corporate positioning.

Francisco Machado, Offices Consultant at Savills, says: “Liberty 227 reflects what the Lisbon office market is looking for today: a prime location and a fully refurbished building, prepared for companies’ current requirements, including ESG criteria. Avenida da Liberdade remains the city’s most emblematic business address, and the demand we have seen for this building confirms the interest in spaces that combine image, construction quality, centrality and sustainability.”
