Savills places Regus in Leça da Palmeira and signs architecture and construction project for the new building

Overlooking the Atlantic and anchored in the business dynamism of Greater Porto, Leça da Palmeira is preparing to welcome a new benchmark office space.

Savills was responsible for the placement and for developing the architectural design and construction project that will give new life to this building, now chosen by Regus to host its latest flexible workspace center in Portugal.

With a total area of nearly 700 sqm, the property will be fully renovated, integrating contemporary design solutions, sustainability criteria and high standards of comfort. The goal is clear: to create a modern, efficient work environment adapted to new ways of working.

This operation involved the multidisciplinary teams from Offices and Building & Project Consultancy & Architecture at Savills, in a joint effort that reflects the consultancy’s strong presence in the North region. With this project, Savills reinforces its commitment to the development and enhancement of Porto’s real estate market, promoting initiatives that combine strategic vision, technical excellence and a deep respect for the identity of each location.

Regus’ investment in Leça da Palmeira confirms the growing dynamism of this area, recognized for its strategic location, urban quality and proximity to both the sea and the city of Porto.

According to Jorge Valdeira, Country Manager of IWG Portugal: “The opening of this new center in Leça da Palmeira reflects our continued commitment to decentralizing work opportunities, supporting local communities by providing high-quality workspaces in more convenient, nearby locations. With this location, we aim to better serve companies and professionals seeking modern, flexible solutions closer to home in northern Portugal. We plan to continue expanding our presence in Portugal, opening new spaces that meet the growing demand for flexible work solutions. The Portuguese market continues to show strong dynamism and consistent demand for more agile and sustainable office occupancy models.”

Francisco Megre, Senior Consultant at Savills Portugal, states:
“We have been supporting the long-term expansion of the international office operator IWG, this time through the Regus brand, which continues to see Porto as part of its growth strategy. This project, in particular, represents a new stage for Northern Portugal, especially for Leça da Palmeira, which is increasingly establishing itself as a sophisticated destination, offering high quality of life and unique proximity to both the Port of Leixões and Francisco Sá Carneiro International Airport.”

Pedro Gomes, Architecture Associate at Savills Portugal, comments: “The concept we developed for this building goes beyond simply renovating a space. It is about creating a new office landmark in the area, where contemporary design and functionality go hand in hand. We believe this will be a workplace that lives up to the ambitions of the companies that choose to establish themselves here.”
