Housing corporation Lieven de Key sells a site to VORM for the development of 130 mid-priced and private sector homes in Amsterdam, the Netherlands

Housing corporation Lieven de Key has sold a development site on Johan Greivestraat in Amsterdam to real estate developer VORM. The plot of land is situated in Amsterdam Nieuw-West and will allow for the construction of two residential buildings. The towers will include 50 medium-rent apartments, 80 private sector rental apartments, a childcare centre, and 78 parking spaces. Savills advised Lieven de Key on the structured sale of the development site through a public tender, while Van Doorne provided legal assistance.

In addition, Lieven de Key will construct 134 social housing units on the adjacent plot.

Bas Wilberts, Head of Residential & Hotel Investment at Savills in the Netherlands, says: “We are pleased to have been able to assist Lieven de Key with this transaction, which involves the development of different types of housing, including mid-priced rental homes. Furthermore, this transaction contributes to the construction of new social housing on the adjacent plot, thereby enhancing the sustainability of Amsterdam's social housing stock.”
