Savills named Guernsey’s ‘Agent of the Year’ at property awards

Real estate advisor Savills has been named Agent of the Year at the Guernsey Property and Construction Awards.

Real estate advisor Savills has been named Agent of the Year at the Guernsey Property and Construction Awards.

The awards recognise achievements, developments and innovation within the island’s diverse property sector.

Savills Guernsey, which specialises in commercial and residential sales and lettings, advice and consultancy, was named ‘Agent of the Year’.

The judges said the office worked collaboratively with contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers and demonstrated a strong team ethic to provide a high level of service to clients.

Tony Rowbotham, head of office for Savills Guernsey, based at Royal Terrace on Glategny Esplanade, said the award was testament to the hard work of everyone in the team.

“The global economic challenges of the past 12 to 18 months have been well documented – and the property industry here in Guernsey has not been immune to those pressures,” he said. “However the sector continues to go from strength to strength and it was great to have an opportunity to recognise and celebrate everyone’s success stories.

“We are obviously delighted to have been named agent of the year – an accolade that is testament to the effort, fortitude, teamwork and very high levels of service across all the teams in our office.

“We have been involved in some significant deals across the island – both in the commercial sector and in the Local and Open residential sales and lettings markets. If you couple that with the fact that we’ve had some pretty testing environments for the past year or so, it makes this recognition especially rewarding.”

This year’s Guernsey Property and Construction Awards were held at the St Pierre Park Hotel. Other categories included Rising Star, Industry Supplier of the Year, Construction Professional of the Year, Engineering Project of the Year, Property Professional of the Year, Landscaping Project of the Year, Best Small Project (up to £300,000), Best Large Project (over £300,000) and Lifetime Achievement.
