Savills to sponsor world’s largest event for sustainable innovation - Planetiers World Gathering – in Lisbon

Publication "Beyond Green" to be launched at event

Savills is one of the main sponsors of the Planetiers World Gathering event in Lisbon, which aims to analyse the main trends in the world of sustainability, creating tools and solutions to achieve the goals set for 2030 and 2050.

The international real estate advisor will sponsor, or ‘power’, three conferences on 25 and 26 October.

The first of these is the "Net Zero Cities" forum on 25 October which will debate the challenges of regenerating cities, and the solutions that can be implemented in urban centres to meet current needs.

On 26 October, "Techceleration for Sustainability" will feature a panel of national and international speakers. Finally, "Cities with Purpose" will be the last session powered by Savills, which aims to discuss the cities of today as an engine of transformation of the planet and decarbonization.

Savills Portugal will also launch "Beyond Green", its first publication entirely dedicated to ESG and Sustainability issues, at the event.

The publication goes much further than real estate. Buildings are in symbiosis with other elements and, in this sense, "Beyond Green" is a comprehensive spectrum of action, addressing several current issues. Smart cities, mobility, energy efficiency, food waste, and well-being are just some of the topics under analysis, aiming to answer many of the questions at the top of the global agenda.

Alexandra Gomes, Head of Research & Communications, Savills Portugal, says: "I am very proud that we are launching our publication "Beyond Green" with the participation of well-known business leaders, consultants, authors and entrepreneurs in the area of sustainability. It is undeniable that we live in times of change, unique times that require a radical change of behaviour in the name of protecting our planet.

“As an international real estate advisor who is advising our clients on ESG & sustainability, it is part of our social commitment to provide information and help build tools that help all market players, including our own community, to actively contribute to the achievement of the established goals."

Patrícia de Melo e Liz, CEO Savills Portugal, adds: "We are delighted to launch "Beyond Green", our first magazine produced by our team in Portugal exclusively dedicated to ESG & sustainability issues. The need to act to save our planet is urgent and 2030 is closer than we think. In this sense, with the global commitment to achieve a zero footprint goal by then, we will not be consistent if we do not create solutions that contribute to a greener and more sustainable world.

For this reason, "Beyond Green" was born, as a response to the most pressing issues on the global agenda that threaten the biodiversity of the ecosystem. I also want to pay special thanks to the team at Savills who with their enthusiastic contribution made all this possible."

"Beyond Green" will be available for free download on the Savills website and social media.
