Savills Aguirre Newman instructed to sell largest mixed use land plot in Madrid

Savills Aguirre Newman has been appointed by Valdebebas Community Council to sell a plot of land in the North of Madrid which is set to become home to Spain’s largest mixed-use complex.

The plot comprises 145,794 sq m of buildable space for commercial use (alongside a second building plot of 36,448 sq m and green areas and parks of around 24,500 sq m). The project as a whole will consider the coexistence of a large commercial area with the possibility of completing it with alternative uses, such as student housing, healthcare, or sports facilities, as well as a large office and hotel complex.

Pablo Méndez, Capital Markets National Director, Savills Aguirre Newman, comments: “The landmark Valdebebas development is the largest and most exciting development Madrid has seen for a long time and is set to become one of the most sought-after commercial and residential destinations for investors. Its proximity to Madrid’s Barajas Airport is set to make Valdebebas of both national and international importance.”

In addition to the commercial aspect of the scheme, Madrid City Council has already begun to grant building permits for residential units. 48 new residential developments are planned which will comprise around 3,800 homes.
