A sunny climate, sandy beaches, beautiful bays and clear blue seas make the Channel Islands a popular choice for those who enjoy spending time on the water.
Guernsey and Jersey have a rich maritime history and sailing remains a much-loved pastime for many residents.
This weekend (24 June) the nautical prowess of both islands will be on display when competitors get behind the helm for the return of the Savills Inter-Island Yacht Race.
Organised by Guernsey Yacht Club and St Helier Yacht Club, the race has been a popular fixture on the sailing calendar since 1964.
More than 50 yachts of all types and sizes took part in last year’s event and Savills has signed up as sponsor until 2024.
