Monopoly is the world's most famous board game, giving iconic status to the areas featured in the London version. Now a new 4D edition of the game, which opened this month on Tottenham Court Road, allows players the chance to complete a series of escape rooms, puzzles and challenges on a 15m x 15m board in order to acquire London properties in all the classic Monopoly locations, from Oxford Street and Pall Mall to Whitechapel Road and Bond Street.
Mayfair – in real life synonymous with red-brick Georgian properties and a sense of village living – is still the most exclusive square on the board, while Old Kent Road remains the only square south of the river.
Of course, you don't have to play the board game to buy a Monopoly property: here is our selection of the best six currently on the market.
