Despite the obvious headwinds of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Caribbean property market has remained buoyant. Demand has been as strong as ever for second homes in sunnier climes and the usually very demarcated season for Caribbean property hunting has stretched outside the normal November-to-April parameters.
Within this there have been a few locations which have performed especially well. Antigua, a beautiful island of well over 300 beaches, has seen transaction levels lift throughout the later stages of 2020 and this has continued through the first half of 2021.
Ever popular, Barbados has also seen high levels of enquiries at all levels of the market and we have had buyers make a purchase without visiting.
Despite very severe precautions in Cayman, the market there is booming with astounding levels of domestic buyers purchasing property. Both Turks & Caicos and The Bahamas have similarly seen high levels of demand filter through into a good level of sales.
The steady return of regular flights to the Caribbean from both Europe and the US is a promising sign for the region and with the recent news that Caribbean islands such as Barbados, Antigua and Grenada have been added to the UK’s green list for travel the situation looks set to improve still further.
So with these encouraging thoughts in mind, we have selected six of the most beautiful Caribbean properties to view during your upcoming trip.
