6 of the best...homes with bucolic views

In his much-loved It’s a Wonderful World Louis Armstrong sings of 'trees of green, red roses too...' not to mention clouds of white and skies of blue.

Looking at nature has long inspired music and art – and fueled many a wistful daydream. And it’s not just the greenery of the countryside, coastal views have the very same effect. There's a good reason why the default screensaver on many devices is a rotation of gorgeous scenery from around the world.

It's perhaps not surprising that access to green space has become more important than ever in recent months: in our latest buyer survey 55 per cent of people listed proximity to a park or open space in their top two priorities when selecting their new home. And if that park or open space could be seen from their own windows, so much the better.

From a house with views across Carmarthen Bay to a residence overlooking an urban wetlands, all of the homes we have selected here offer dazzling panoramas of our wonderful world.
