Gorgeous gardens for Virtual Chelsea Week

Today is the first day of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. It will be a virtual event this year, though it will still feature gardening's best-loved designers, celebrities and personalities, offering advice and videos to inspire both keen horticulturalists and armchair gardeners.

We have always been a nation of gardeners and Covid-19 has done nothing to change that. Quite the opposite. When we asked almost 700 prospective buyers and sellers registered with us how the experience of the pandemic had affected their intentions to move, their price expectations and their priorities, a high proportion said that having access to outside space had become more important to them.

In these unprecedented times, it is no wonder there has been a shift in priorities. Instrumental for mental health and wellbeing, access to green space has never been more important.

So to mark this year's Virtual Chelsea Flower Show, here is a selection of our own horticultural winners, from a wild garden planted under the guidance of distinguished landscape designer Kim Wilkie to one boasting grade 2 greensand, highly sought after for vines as well as crops and vegetables.
