In the 1970s a TV sitcom called The Brady Bunch famously featured a family with six children. Thirty years later, Cheaper by the Dozen brought a family of 14 to our screens. One of the questions at the forefront of viewers’ minds was: just where did they all sleep?
No such problems at any of the properties we've selected, all of which have more than six bedrooms. But, other than number of bedrooms, what else is important in this market?
Good-sized kitchens are essential because that's where families will often spend most of their time. Having somewhere outside for children to play or nearby open spaces is absolutely vital. Other essentials include plenty of storage and utility space, more than one bathroom and maybe room for the family to grow: who knows – in a few years you might be considering multi-generational living.
