Project Description

The Project designed by side with Education First team of designers was planned to be a space customised according to the interests of this multinational organisation.

The intervention involved around 380 sq.m, inserted in a 18th century palace, with a prime location in the historic centre of Lisbon. The entire process, which was developed in a turnkey model, with a program of development and adaptation of the existing space converted to a learning space, with classrooms, lounge areas, reception and selling areas, also benefiting from a terrace with a privileged view of the botanical garden.

The technical challenge of the work was particular in the need to adapt a space with unique constructive details, including plastered ceilings, partition walls and estrutura pombalina, characteristics of a historic building. These were fully respected, and their identity was not distorted. On the contrary, it was strengthened by ensuring the technical suitability and safety of the space, particularly by respecting the various needs of fire safety, space lighting, and acoustic quality.
