Savills acts as trusted advisers to real estate clients in the Americas, Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa and Middle East. We attract, recruit and retain the best people in the property industry.
Right across the world, and in all areas of the property spectrum, our clients benefit from the entrepreneurial edge and exceptional service that our people exemplify. Through our advice and the transactional services we provide, we help our clients to maximise the value of their property – whatever and wherever it is.
Supportive and collaborative ethos
We retain good people because of our supportive and collaborative ethos: we know that if you provide the right environment then people are much more likely to reach their potential – and when they do, it’s our clients that see the benefit.
We give our people the chance to flourish, do what we can to help them to create a good work/life balance, and by placing a high value on diversity, we foster a stimulating, contemporary culture for them to work in.
As a result of this ethos, our people take the initiative, think creatively and act responsibly.
Our approach
Everyone at Savills works hard to exceed clients' expectations. One of the advantages of a public company, however, is the meritocracy it creates. This ensures that there is a clear path for advancement with individual achievement recognised by increased financial rewards as well as by promotion. Sports and social activities provide a welcome balance to ensure that business is fun as well.
On top of this, our reputation rests on our contribution to all the communities we operate in. An intrinsic part of this is supporting charities and other community-related activities, locally and nationally.
Number one employer
These aren’t just empty words. We have been consistently ranked by The Times as the number one graduate employer in the property industry for over 10 years.
Leadership Programme
The Savills Leadership Programme is a 12-month training programme launched for the benefit of Savills directors. The aim is to provide our directors with further leadership skills and knowledge allowing each to influence and develop their career at Savills. The programme is extremely successful with all those participating gaining full insight into the company internal management structure, knowledge and ideas from market leading speakers and strengthening relationships with like-minded colleagues.
A future with Savills offers everything an ambitious and talented individual is looking for.
Equality and diversity policy
The company is committed to eliminating discrimination and encouraging diversity amongst its workforce. The aim is that the workforce will be truly representative of all sections of society and each employee feels respected and able to perform at their best.
The company does not discriminate on the basis of any protected characteristic i.e. their gender, sexual orientation, marital or civil partner status, gender reassignment, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, disability or age. The principle of non-discrimination and equality of opportunity applies equally to the treatment of applicants for employment, former employees, visitors, clients, customers and suppliers by members of the company’s current workforce.
The company is committed to a programme of action to bring this policy to the attention of all employees.
