Buyer sentiment

We had just under 1,000 responses to our November Client Survey. It suggested that buyer sentiment had softened slightly compared to earlier this year, in the wake of the general election and the immediate aftermath of the Budget.

A similar trend was observed with purchaser budgets, the overall net balance below its position from Q1, but still above 2022 and 2023. The 2% increase to the higher rate of Stamp Duty Land Tax for second homes was the most impactful Budget announcement for respondents.
