Investors’ confidence remains intact despite the pandemic struck slowdown period. During H1 2021 private equity investment inflows into the Indian real estate sector amounted to USD 2.7 billion, equivalent to 41% of the investment inflows witnessed in 2020.

Commercial office assets remained the frontrunner during Q2 2021 and garnered about 40% share of the investment pie. We also witnessed renewed interest in retail segment by private equity institutional investors as it accounted for the second highest share (33%) of investment inflows.
