Rural Department markets a 134-hectare property in Campo Maior

Walnut Rich Project with 134 Hectares of Intensively Cultivated Walnut and Almond Orchards

The Rural Department at Savills Portugal is promoting the sale of the Walnut Rich project, a highly productive agricultural estate located in Campo Maior, covering a total area of 134 hectares, of which 101 hectares are planted with walnut trees and 33 hectares with almond trees, both under intensive production.

With 105 hectares owned and 29 hectares leased, this property stands out for its advanced technical structure, abundant guaranteed water resources, and a modern drip irrigation system, ensuring efficient and sustainable management of the farm.

Walnut Rich is located within the irrigation perimeter of the Xévora River, benefiting from an annual concession of 900,000 m³, supplemented by artesian wells with a capacity of 200,000 m³ and a private reservoir holding 500,000 m³, guaranteeing full water autonomy and efficient water management.

The infrastructure supporting agricultural activities includes a workshop, warehouse, office, and canteen, providing all the necessary conditions for effective on-site operations. The farm is in full production on 105 hectares (planted in 2017) and development on 29 hectares (planted in 2021), allowing for short-term returns.

Bruno Amaro, Rural Business Developer at Savills Portugal, states:“The Walnut Rich project represents an excellent opportunity for those looking to invest in the agricultural sector with security and a forward-looking vision. Combining modern infrastructure, high productive potential, and abundant water resources, it is a versatile asset with the possibility of transitioning to other crops or production models. This is an ideal proposition for both national and international investors who value solid assets with strong long-term appreciation potential.
