Savills announces new head of France

Savills has announced that Boris Cappelle has left his role as Chairman & CEO Savills France.

Cappelle has led the business since 2019 and was previously head of the investment team having originally joined the company in 2008.

James Sparrow, CEO of Savills UK and EMEA, says: “I would like to thank Boris for all that he has done for the business. Under his leadership Savills business in France has grown significantly in all areas and has diversified into a full service offering for clients. He departs with my very great thanks for all he has achieved.”

Angus Potterton will become the new Head of Savills France with immediate effect. Potterton led Savills Ireland for 15 years and was most recently CEO of Savills Italy for three years. He is a highly experienced and respected business leader. He will work alongside the existing leadership team in France to progress the next step in the growth of the business, which will also see the firm move to new larger offices in the summer of 2024.

Boris Cappelle adds: “I would like to thank the staff of Savills France, the support of our parent company and our shareholders, and our customers, without whom such growth would not have been possible. In less than five years, we have almost doubled our sales and headcount by strengthening our existing teams and diversifying our businesses, while developing a regional network. Today, Savills France can offer a 360-degree quality service to our customers, and I am delighted that Angus is here to continue the long-term development of Savills in France.”

Angus Potterton comments: “Savills is a dynamic and evolving company and France is a key focus in order to support our investor and occupier clients. I am really pleased to be involved in the next phase of growth and I very much look forward to working with the team here to support them and their clients.”
