Savills places first overall in 2022-2023 RateMyPlacement ranking

Savills has ranked first overall in the top 100 Undergraduate Employers for 2022-2023 category in the RateMyPlacement Awards. The firm jumped 35 places since last year to take the highly coveted spot.

Now in its 13th year the awards, which were held virtually on 16th March, celebrate the outstanding achievements of employers, agencies, students and universities in undergraduate work experience across the UK.

The event was held to announce ‘Best Student Employers’, voted solely by student reviews. The list is compiled based on reviews submitted by more than 30,000 undergraduates, with participants asked to rate their work placements on categories including their day-to-day role and responsibilities, the company itself and the overall experience.

Savills has remained in the top 50 since 2016, steadily climbing up the rankings. It is also the only company to have placed first in both the RateMyPlacement and RateMyApprenticeship awards.

James Sparrow, chief executive of Savills UK & EMEA, comments: “It is an outstanding achievement to place first in the highly respected RateMyPlacement ranking. It is fantastic to see that our commitment to both nurturing and attracting the best talent has transcended the sector and is now a best in class example to businesses across the UK.”

Naomi Chandler, head of future talent at Savills, adds: “As a team we pride ourselves on providing the very best internships and work experience placements that give students a real insight into the business, whilst enabling them to broaden their knowledge and understanding of the industry. The fact that the rankings are decided by these students makes this award even more special.”

Hebe Williams, graduate recruitment manager at Savills, says: “Through our work experience and internship programmes, our aim is to inspire the next generation of property professionals. The considerable jump in the rankings shows our desire for continual improvement and we hope to retain this position by ensuring we cater to a wide variety of students who perhaps did not originally see real estate as a career option.”
