Savills marks 15 years in Cardiff

Property service provider, Savills, is marking its 15th anniversary in Cardiff.

The firm opened its first office in the Welsh capital in 2007, initially with a team of 12 providing planning, development and estate agency services.

The office now has a team of 100, making it the largest property firm in South Wales, with a strong reputation for providing full and integrated services across commercial and residential markets within Wales and across the UK.

Savills celebrated its anniversary with an event to launch its new research - Cardiff: Building a resilient future - held at the Parkgate Hotel attended by over 200 clients and staff.

The research, which looks at the growth of the city over the last 15 years, its strengths and opportunities for the future, covers issues such as economic growth and affordability, levelling up and renewable energy. It addresses the future commercial, residential and infrastructure requirements to enable its continued success.

Speaking at the event, Chris Potts, head of Savills Cardiff, said: “The growth of our team over 15 years reflects the fantastic support from clients, the calibre of our team, our ability to be at the forefront of thought leadership and our skills in navigating emerging opportunities and challenges to deliver value.’

Commenting on the firm’s 15 years in Cardiff, Richard Rees, head of Savills UK, said: “We are very proud of our role within the property sector in South Wales. Our priority is to provide the best quality of advice to our clients and this is underpinned by our efforts to attract and nurture the best talent.”
