Developer sought for prime West London site

A series of Victorian former school buildings with planning consent for a high-end residential development have been officially brought to the market on behalf of fixed charge receivers by Savills.

50 Brook Green, a totally enclosed site, is located in one of West London’s most established addresses. The site extends to approximately 0.89 acre and benefits from gated access, a private internal courtyard and has planning for 33 private residential units. It is being sold by the London Land team at Savills.

Formerly a school, the five buildings were converted to office use in the early 1980s but have remained vacant since circa 2020. The planning consent for the 33 homes includes a mix of studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments.

The site benefits from excellent transport links, with eight underground stations, two overground stations and nine bus routes all within approximately a mile. It is also located in close proximity to the £1.3bn Olympia London redevelopment, which is delivering a world-class events space and London’s newest cultural landmark across seven new buildings.

Charlie Redman, Associate Director in the London Land team at Savills, stated: “This sale represents a unique opportunity to acquire an incredible collection of buildings in the heart of one of West London’s most desirable residential neighbourhoods. There are many things which will appeal to developers, but its character, location, proximity to several excellent schools and connectivity really set it apart.”

The site is being sold by way of informal tender and viewings are strictly by appointment only.

Colin Hardman and Henry Shinners of Evelyn Partners LLP were appointed as fixed charge receivers on 5 June 2024.
