On behalf of Gammeltorv Ejendomme, Savills Denmark has let a large lease at Arnold Nielsens Boulevard 68, 2650 Hvidovre. The day treatment institution Skolen Sputnik has signed an agreement for six leases in the property totaling 1,789 square meters.

Skolen Sputnik is a day treatment institution for children and young people with diagnostic and behavioral challenges. From being a single day treatment school in Nørrebro with a few employees and students in 1999, Sputnik is today an organization with more than 250 employees and 12 departments divided into day treatment, STU and the residential area, as well as a mentoring department and a course centre.

Need for more departments

Due to an increase in enrollment over the past few years, Sputnik School has needed to establish more institutions. According to Sputnik CEO Allan Laursen, the new premises in Hvidovre are ideal for the concept, both geographically and in terms of interior design. Sputnik is dealing with a target group of children and young people who are particularly vulnerable to their surroundings.

For our students, safety and well-being are of paramount importance, which is why we as a tenant attach extraordinary value to the physical environment. With the new lease agreement, we can offer our students and teachers flexible surroundings and open spaces that are designed for both joint teaching and individual needs with care to create a dynamic learning environment that accommodates our diverse teaching methods

Allan Laursen, CEO at Sputnik

In March 2023, Skolen Sputnik's department in Gentofte moved to new premises at Grusbakken 5 in Gentofte, where Savills Denmark also was behind the letting.

At Savills, we are pleased with the successful handling of the assignment, where we have met the needs and conditions of both landlord and tenant, both valued partners in our business. Secondly, we are particularly pleased to be able to help with the realization of Sputnik's expansion into a new town, which creates the opportunity for further support, care and learning for children and young people in the local area.

Savills congratulates all parties on the successful agreement.

The lease contract at Arnold Nielsens Boulevard 68 was signed at the end of 2023. The Sputnik school is now in the process of being fitted out, and the future institution in Hvidovre is expected to open in early August 2024.
