The pension fund, Akademikerpension, has just acquired a 9,000 square metre property with residential and commercial use located on Gl. Kongevej centrally in Copenhagen.

The property was sold by the property company Dades' subsidiary, Dades Erhverv. We acted as seller's adviser in the case.

The sale of Gl. Kongevej confirms the continuous strong investment demand for well-located city properties. With its prime location on Gl. Kongevej in Copenhagen, this city property is quite extraordinary, which is further supported by the unique combination of housing with free market rent and attractive New York style offices. The property was built in 1892 and consists of three buildings with a total leasable area of 8,941 square metres divided into 25 residential leases and 14 commercial leases. 

Although this transaction is between Danish parties, especially international investors are looking towards Copenhagen. In a pan-European context, Copenhagen is still relatively cheap compared to other similar big cities. In addition, the competing supply of similar investment objects is limited, which according to Nordicals Copenhagen is one of the driving forces behind the strong international interest in the property on Gl. Kongevej. 

Capital flows towards real estate
The turmoil in the financial markets has inevitably found its way to the property sector. Nevertheless, we can confirm that an increasing number of investors are looking to place capital in real estate - a trend that is expected to continue.
