Who doesn’t love a sundowner? The dictionary definition is ‘an alcoholic drink usually enjoyed while watching a sunset’, but to me a sundowner means more. It epitomises a moment of complete relaxation in beautiful surroundings and a well-earned reward after a busy day. I enjoy this moment best in the company of friends and a chilled bottle of rosé.
We tend to associate sundowners with balmy summer evenings, however sunsets can be just as fabulous during the cooler months of the year. So, while today I am making the most of the last few weeks of summer, as the temperature starts to drop and the trees become host to a plethora of autumnal colours, I will look forward to my sundowner with no less enthusiasm.
