Festival season is in full swing and estates and farms up and down the country are throwing open their gates to host an array of live cultural experiences, from music and comedy to art and food. 

The scene has been growing in popularity for several years now with new and increasingly diverse festivals springing up every summer. Now in its seventh year, The Big Feastival, which takes place this weekend (24-26 August), has become a mainstay of the season. Set up by former Blur bassist turned foodie Alex James, with the support of Jamie Oliver, Feastival was one of the first to put food, rather than music, centre stage.

Its success is evident every summer bank holiday when Feastival-goers, often families, flock to the Cotswolds, braced for a weekend of quality family time. The party-like atmosphere spills out into neighbouring Chipping Norton and beyond with pubs, restaurants and B&Bs enjoying a real buzz.
