Just as beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so one buyer's idea of a romantic property might not be anyone else's. However, some homes are more obvious contenders than others: there's a house currently for sale in North London, for example, in which a windowpane bears the names of its former owners, the artists Harold and Dame Laura Knight. The couple entwined their names in the glass in 1922, by which time they had been married for nearly 20 of their 58 years together. A romantic legacy by any standards.
