Surrey's Private Estates: Oxshott Way, Fairmile and Eaton Park, Cobham

Oxshott Way, Fairmile and Eaton Park are three of Cobham's four prime private estates (the fourth is the prestigious Crown Estate). Mid-way between Gatwick and Heathrow airport, they offer quick access to London (from 40 minutes) and are well placed for a number of excellent schools, including Danes Hill in Oxshot and ACS international School in Cobham.

Each of the estates offers something different: Oxshott Way has both contemporary mansions and original houses built in the 1930s, each set in its own mature grounds. By contrast, most of the houses in Eaton Park were built within the last five to 10 years, setting new benchmarks in luxury living. The wide boulevards and established surroundings ensure that the Fairmile Estate is highly attractive to international buyers and ex-pats working in the City.

With their mix of modern and period houses and high security, all three estates tend to attract national and international buyers, plus a good number of sportsmen: Chelsea FC's training ground is in Stoke d'Abernon. Their proximity to golf, tennis and rugby clubs is another draw.
