Sales of £1m+ properties across the UK have tripled to 18,000 a year over the past decade. The South of England, excluding London, accounted for 88 per cent of the total sales. Over the next five years we are forecasting that prime property will see price rises ranging from 25.7 per cent in the London suburbs to 17.5 per cent in Scotland. Using these forecasts and 2014 sales data, we have estimated how many £1m+ sales there will be by 2019.

As far as the next five years are concerned, we predict nearly 28,000 £1m+ sales in 2019 (see table, below), an increase of 56 per cent on 2014 sales.
