Navigating your way around Cotswold schools

One of the major draws of the Cotswolds, aside from beautiful countryside and charming pubs, are the excellent schools. Those moving to the area often do so because of the excellent Prep and secondary schools available, and increasingly – with the impending VAT hike on school fees – outstanding state schools.

BRICS and mortar

This week, Russian President Vladimir Putin hosted a gathering of no less than 36 international leaders at the annual BRICS summit in Kazan. The event was attended by Xi Jinping and Narendra Modi, two of the most influential people in global politics. Also in attendance was UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, infuriating the West as he rubbed shoulders with a man branded a war criminal by the International Criminal Court. Among those present were several leaders whose countries consistently violate basic human rights in the pursuit of ideology.

Savills Research - UK housing market update

House prices rose by 0.7 per cent tin September, taking annual growth to 3.2 per cent, according to Nationwide. This represents the stongest annual house price growth figure since November 2022. Growth has typically been stronger in the north of the country, with annual growth in North West, Scotland and Yorks & Humber of 4.9 per cent, 4.4 per cent and 4.3 per cent respectively. Price growth was lower in the South, but London outperformed with annual growth of 2 per cent.

Interest rate cut: what next for mortgages?
