While we work in places and spaces, it’s the people at the heart of them that matter. We’re always looking for ways to make a lasting positive impact in the communities where we operate, through engagement, charitable giving and volunteering.
The UN set out Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for businesses around the world. Savills have aligned with 9 of the 17 UN SDGs, that are the most relevant to our business, three of which come under our community approach:
- Quality Education: We aim to create opportunities for the growth and development of our people and within the communities that we impact.
- Sustainable Cities and Communities: We work with government, national and local communities and our clients to create sustainable places.
- Life On Land: We expect our suppliers to operate responsibly and to seek to protect biodiversity and ecosystems.
In 2023, our community highlights included:
- 24,300 volunteering hours
- £2,090,000 donated by the Group and combined regional businesses
- Over 580 pro-bono hours given
- Social and local economic value of £4.7m delivered through Savills UK
- Advised on planting of over 2.6m trees and undertook 108 carbon audits on natural capital in the food and farming sector
