Webinar: In conversation with Richard Walker, Managing Director of Iceland Foods

With ESG and climate change at the top of many business’ agendas, we were delighted on Wednesday 9 June 2021, to have the opportunity to talk to Richard Walker and hear his views on sustainability and business.

Richard spoke passionately about the need to balance environmental protection whilst running a significant business and meeting customer needs. Key to this, according to Richard, is ensuring sustainability becomes embedded in an organisation as everyone has a role to play, yet he also recognises that there is no such thing as a truly sustainable business; you need to do what you can, when you can. He emphasised the need to democratise environmentalism by making it relevant, relatable and affordable to everyone.

The webinar was chaired by Richard Rees, Managing Director of Savills UK, and also featured Emily Norton, Head of Rural Research and one of Savills leading environmental commentators with a specific knowledge around the agricultural and food sectors.
