Cristo Rey Network Relocates & Expands to the Monroe Building

The not-for-profit organization will upgrade and move to a 11,350-square-foot space in the East Loop

CHICAGO (July 15, 2024) – Savills led the search and negotiations resulting in a new lease for the relocation and expansion of Cristo Rey Network to the Monroe Building. The not-for-profit organization will occupy an 11,350-square-foot office space at 104 South Michigan Avenue in the East Loop, increasing its previous footprint by 3,220 square feet. Savills Vice Chairman John Goodman and Managing Director Brandon Nasatir oversaw the real estate strategy for Cristo Rey Network.

“Cristo Rey Network sought to improve its office environment and take advantage of current market conditions to move to an upgraded space,” said Goodman. “The client’s objective was to remain in a central location in the East Loop that was accessible to its employees. We found the ideal solution at the Monroe Building that provided a significantly upgraded space while being situated in a prime Michigan Avenue location.”

“Cristo Rey Network’s upcoming move to the Monroe Building is a prime example of the flight-to-quality trend and the importance tenants are placing on building stability,” added Nasatir. “The building has strong ownership that recently provided substantial upgrades, while the office space features efficient floor plates with abundant natural light and air.”

Cristo Rey Network’s new office is fully built-out and offers existing conditions and furnishings  the organization can reuse. The building has also been fully renovated with state-of-the-art amenities such as a fitness center, two-story auditorium and broadcast center, conference and teleconferences facilities, event space, and food service.

“Relocating to the Monroe Building marks a significant milestone for our organization as we expand our mission’s impact,” said Kelby Woodard, President and CEO of Cristo Rey Network. “This new space accommodates our evolving team needs and offers a modern environment that reflects our commitment to excellence and innovation in education. We are excited about the opportunities this move presents for collaborating with our school teams and students from across the country in this dynamic new location.”

The Monroe Building is situated in a premier Millennium Park location and offers unobstructed views of the surrounding park and Lake Michigan. The property offers high-end, modern office space equipped with the latest amenities and technologies. The Pritzker Military Museum and Library occupies the lower floors of the building, presenting prestigious event space that is available for tenants to rent.
