Savills/Predibisa and Castelhana Real Estate commercialise Aliados 9 development

One of Porto’s most emblematic buildings, on Avenida dos Aliados, is now on the market

Savills/Predibisa and Castelhana Real Estate are selling Aliados 9, a historic building that combines its priceless historical and heritage value with the comfort and modernity of the present and future.

Originally designed in 1919 by architect Marques da Silva, one of the most important names in Portuguese architecture, it was inaugurated in 1925 by the insurance company “A Nacional”.

The interior reveals a surprising modernity – one walks through galleries and bridges with wrought iron railings, crossing spaces with quadruple height ceilings, adorned with authentic pieces of art, such as the stained-glass windows from de 1920s. 

The flats have unusually high ceilings, surrounded by windows and bow-windows on a monumental scale, elements that lend unrivalled heritage value to some of the buildings that cohabit Porto’s most important address.
