Savills and Cushman & Wakefield instructed to the commercialization of two Cifial factories

Bodo and Santa Comba Dão industrial areas, respectively in Santa Maria da Feira and Viseu, will provide about 24,403 sq.m and 17,373 sq.m. of area to industrial warehouses.

Savills and Cushman & Wakefieldare jointly and exclusively responsible for the sale of two Cifial factories located in Santa Maria da Feira and Viseu.

At the Bodo Area, the property is located on a 58,409 sq. m plot of land with a construction area of 24,403 sq. m. The Santa Comba Dão area, on the other hand, is located on a 69,190 sq. m plot of land with a construction area of 17,373 sq. m.

The location of both assets is one of their advantages, due to the excellent accessibility to the main roads, namely the A1 and A35, respectively, providing proximity to the centre of Porto, Aveiro and Viseu, Porto airport, Leixões and Aveiro sea ports, equipped with public transport networks and commercial areas, providing great ease in the international logistics of products, but also excellent quality of life for employees, in industrial areas inserted in a consolidated business context, with connections to the main universities of Portugal.

The buildings include spaces for industry and warehouses, having been used for the production and storage of taps and sanitary ware.

Cifial, founded in 1904, has accumulated more than a century of knowledge and industrial experience, in which it has always sought to invest permanently in product and process engineering, combining the use of design and functionality of its solutions, as strategic tools, confirmed by the recognition awarded with several international awards.

According to Pedro Figueiras, Head of I&L at Savills Portugal: “We are very pleased to bring CIFIAL’s assets to the market at a time when the nearshoring trend is clear, and Portugal is an attractive destination for industry. Thus, both poles in commercialisation will allow companies that have our country on their radar to implement a production unit in a very short time. On the other hand, the locations where these assets are located have an industrial heritage that offers future occupants access to labour with high know-how and qualifications”.

Strategically, the company will relocate all its operations in a single industrial hub, where it is investing in new equipment, process efficiency and new products, not forgetting the reduction of its carbon footprint, having started on March 21 the production of solar energy through 1221 solar panels. As Sérgio Nunes, Head of Industrial & Logistics of Cushman & Wakefield states,We are delighted to announce the promotion of the two properties of the renowned Cifial brand. Based on our vast market experience and considering the increasing demand for industrial and logistics units in our country, we believe that this is the ideal time to embrace this project”.
