Six of the best properties to enjoy a Jersey Christmas

Jersey is an amazing place to call home at any time of year, but Christmas always brings out the very best of the island – with the switch-on of St Helier’s festive lights signalling the start of the holiday celebrations for many.

From soaking up the seasonal spectacle during late night shopping or browsing the wares at one of the many Christmas markets, through to taking a spin at the ‘Jersey on Ice’ skating rink or watching a festive show or concert – there is a whole world of yuletide wonder to keep islanders entertained.

This weekend (Saturday, 9 December) sees the opening of Jersey’s Christmas Tree Experience, which is aiming to make history by attempting to break the world record for the largest display of illuminated Christmas trees. Visitors to Howard Davis Park will be able to walk through a maze of hundreds of trees, all decked in their festive finery.

The more adventurous can take part in the ‘12 Bays of Christmas’ winter swimming challenge, which invites brave fundraisers to take a chilly dip in aid of Jersey Hospice Care and The National Trust for Jersey. The island is also host to a number of Christmas Day swims that are full of festive cheer in aid of several good causes.

Meanwhile, for those who prefer dry land, Jersey is spoilt for choice when it comes to coastal paths or countryside rambles to help blow away any festive cobwebs. Others may simply prefer to cosy up with a warming mulled wine and mince pie in one of our many pubs, or curl up in front of the TV and watch a Christmas movie.

Whatever you’re up to, our gallery below features a selection of homes currently on the market perfect for celebrating this festive season.
