Following a lull during the economic downturn, the ‘lock up and leave’ is back.
While a ‘cottage with an acre’ is traditionally the preferred choice for second property, it is currently being replaced by a hankering for convenience, low maintenance, and amenities with entertainment within walking distance.
The appeal of lock up and leave isn't limited to downsizers either. Families, too, want good access town, shops, theatre, festivals, the races... For them the focus is on Playstations rather than ponies.
