Lisbon Hotel KPI's - May 2019

Between January and May 2019, the RevPar increased by 1,39% in Lisbon, reaching 80,81 €. This increase was supported by the growth of revenue per occupied room (ADR) by 2,87%, which currently averages 107,53 €. This indicator had a particular contribution from the 4-star category, with an increase of 4,42%, even though the occupancy rate decreased by 2,76 pp. Penalised by the decline of the 4-star category, the occupancy rate per room decreased by 1.15 pp over the previous year, standing at 75,15% by the fifth month of the year, although the other categories recorded slight increases.

The number of tourists, mainly foreigners and mostly French, Brazilian and Spanish, continued to increase, representing 30,9% of the tourists visiting Lisbon.

Investment in the Hotel segment in Lisbon registered the highest value in recent years until May: 373,5 M€ achieved through the transaction of 5 major hotels in the city. Of particular note is the joint sale of the hotels Avani Av. Liberdade, Tivoli Av. Liberdade and Tivoli Oriente, at a total of 313 M€.
