The retail department of Savills was responsible for securing the new Manteigaria store in Príncipe Real, located at number 13 Rua da Escola Politécnica. With a modern and welcoming atmosphere, the space covers approximately 80 sq m and maintains the brand’s concept: an environment where customers can witness the unique artisanal process of making the famous “pastéis de nata”.
With a careful renovation that respects the historical heritage of Príncipe Real, this new space reflects the essence of the neighbourhood – a meeting point between the modern and the traditional. Open every day from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Manteigaria brings both tradition and innovation, celebrating each fresh batch of pastéis de nata with the now iconic sound of the bell.
The opening of Manteigaria – Pastel de Nata Factory is yet another operation completed by Savills in Príncipe Real, a concept that adds value to a neighbourhood that combines modernity and tradition. Previously, Savills had secured brands such as RUTZ and Padaria Gleba in the area and will soon announce new tenants for what is now Lisbon’s most trendy neighbourhood. Currently, Savills is also working on leasing retail spaces in one of the most iconic buildings in the area, the Anjos Urban Palace, located in the heart of Príncipe Real Square.
“Opening the doors of another factory is always very gratifying. Príncipe Real is a neighbourhood that has been the talk of the town and clearly resonates with the Manteigaria brand. It is a new opportunity to bring the taste and magic of this product to more Portuguese people and visitors,” explains Jaime Soares, CEO of Manteigaria.
José Galvão, Head of Retail da Savills Portugal, comments: “Savills has successfully completed another operation in Príncipe Real. The placement of Manteigaria is yet another example of our team’s involvement in a neighbourhood with its own unique dynamic. In the span of a year, we have placed three new brands in Príncipe Real. Soon, we will announce other operations that will enhance the quality of the existing retail offering in this central area of Lisbon.”
