With more than 30 years’ experience in economics, entrepreneurship, finance and municipal management, Ricardo is a renowned professional with in-depth knowledge of the market and a keen strategic vision. Since 2016 he has held high-profile roles at Porto City Council, including Councillor for Economy, Tourism and Commerce, as well as Councillor for Finance, Economic Activities and Supervision and Councillor for Economy, Employment and Entrepreneurship. He was also a non-executive director of Porto Vivo, SRU, and chairman of the board of GO Porto - Gestão e Obras, EM.
Ricardo has also been a professor at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto for 30 years in the areas of corporate finance and risk management. He also works at the Porto Business School.
