Savills supports Burger King® expansion with two new openings in Porto

The Savills Retail Department was responsible for securing Burger King® locations at the former Café Embaixador and the Trinity Building

The Savills Retail Department was responsible for placing the two new Burger King® spaces in Porto. Both are located in the heart of the city – one at the former Café Embaixador on Rua de Sampaio Bruno and the other at the Trinity Building on Rua dos Heróis e dos Mártires de Angola.

The former Café Embaixador is a place that has been part of the city’s collective memory for decades and is now being revitalised with a fresh energy, featuring an innovative space that respects the heritage of this iconic building. Rua de Sampaio Bruno is a pedestrian street perpendicular to Avenida dos Aliados, located in one of Porto’s most vibrant commercial areas.

The Trinity Building is situated in Porto’s urban centre, near the City Hall, and is a modern and multifunctional hub of offices and retail spaces. It features five floors of offices and two floors of commercial galleries. The arrival of Burger King® in these two new locations represents an economic boost for these areas of the city.

Diamantino Carvalho, Area Manager of Burger King Portugal®, states: “The opening of these two new restaurants at the former Café Embaixador and in the Trinity Galleries represents an important step in bringing us closer to Porto and its residents. We have long aspired to reach the city’s historic centre, and with Savills this dream has become a reality. This city was one of the first to welcome our brand in Portugal in 2001 at Norte Shopping. Twenty-three years later, there are now 10 Burger King® locations in Porto.”

Rita Vasconcelos, Head of Retail at Savills Porto, comments: “It has been a privilege for us to work with such a prestigious multinational as Burger King® in their search for new locations in Porto. We are thrilled to bring new life to this iconic space and to have supported the brand in their latest opening in the city at the Trinity Building, further strengthening our commitment to this partnership.”
