Savills appointed property manager of Tkalnia

Real estate advisory firm Savills has been appointed property manager of Tkalnia, a shopping and entertainment centre in Pabianice. The facility, which is scheduled for opening at the end of Q2 2019, is being developed as part of the revitalisation project of a former textile factory and will offer multiple entertainment and leisure options.

Tkalnia will be part of a new urban passage linking the Stary Rynek area, the Juliusz Słowacki park, the River Dobrzynka embankment and the A&A Arkadia golf course. The project will create a new centre of Pabianice which in addition to being a retail destination will offer many attractive leisure options. Tkalnia will feature, among other things, a wide range of F&B outlets and a designated zone which will host a variety of events.

Savills will be responsible for supporting the investor in preparations for the opening of the facility and for property management upon project completion.

“Tkalnia is a unique project which will restore the site of the former factory and create a new public space. I am confident that when the facility opens, it will immediately become a major regional retail and entertainment destination attracting not only Pabianice inhabitants, but also those living in more remote areas thanks to its excellent connections to the S14 and S8 expressways and the A1 motorway. The facility’s entertainment and leisure offer will be complemented by the golf course, a salt cavern, a graduation tower and a shooting range for customers to enjoy also on Sundays,” says Marta Mikołajczyk-Pyrć, Director, Head of Retail Property Management, Property & Asset Management, Savills.

The Tkalnia shopping centre is located at 8 Grobelna Street in Pabianice, Łódzkie voivodeship. It offers 12,000 sq m of floorspace and approximately 40 stores of such retailers as Pepco, Smyk, Reserved, Sinsay, Diverse, CCC, Empik, Media Expert, and a Helios cinema. Its retail offer will be complemented by a nearby Castorama store currently under construction. The facility is owned by a company of the A&A Group, which holds an office, retail, industrial and warehouse portfolio with a total area of approximately 250,000 sq m. The company has already successfully revitalised 18 properties across Central Poland.
