John Hammett is a corporate managing director for Savills and leads the firm’s Denver-based project management team. John brings over 35 years of commercial real estate experience to each transaction and has pioneered and developed many of the standard operating procedures associated with current project management best practices for tenant interiors.

John began his career in the leasing and research department at Moore & Company, where he was responsible for buying land for retail locations for 3 years. John then made the transition to leasing manager for MEPC and Venture West Properties in Denver, where he was solely responsible for representing the landlord in leasing over one million square feet of office space for over 15 years. John came to Savills in 2017 from Cushman & Wakefield, where he served as a senior vice president and senior project manager.

John has consulted and managed over 500,000 square feet and $15 million in managed construction cost annually, and has experience on projects all over the United States and Latin America. John’s clients served include MarkWest Energy Partners, CoorsTek, Maptek, Motive, Hindman Sanchez, ProBuild, iCat Managers and Fidelity Exploration.

Known for his advanced problem solving skills, John is highly sought after by tenants as a key strategic consultant and partner in major corporate headquarter construction projects and relocations. With his wide breadth of experience in the industry over multiple markets, John is an expert in coordinating and directing all aspects of building design, engineering, construction and vendor integration on behalf of tenants. John also maintains his brokerage license and frequently works hand-in-hand with brokers from deal inception through lease execution prior to construction, resulting in unprecedented results for his clients.

John brings extensive versatility over multiple types of industries with experience in ground-up construction, Tier 4 data centers, satellite surveillance facilities and control centers, advanced technology lab and research environments, historical building restorations, state-of-the art office space and industrial and educational facilities.
