The consultancy's Architecture department was responsible for the construction of what is the first office to feature in the renovated Galleries of the Ritz Four Seasons Hotel
The former galleries of the Ritz Four Seasons Hotel are now home to a new office concept where employee engagement takes centre stage – Castilho 77 Offices.
With the rebirth of this iconic space in the heart of the city, the modernisation of the spaces within it was essential, and this was inducted by the design and construction of the new Tech Hub of Springer Nature. The design & build of this space was the responsibility of the Savills Architecture Department, which was the first office to open in the prestigious business centre.
With an intervention area of around 570 sq. m, the project included the creation of an open workspace, some informal areas, meeting rooms, phone booths, and a flexible area on the -1 floor with an auditorium and a gaming area. The kitchen is also prepared to support and host events. The office is organised around a central courtyard where the biophilic elements are transported inside.
Springer Nature strives to be a sustainable and ethical company. The office breathes sustainability and well-being, through the use of materials; all-gender restrooms; many different working areas and leisure spaces. Flexibility, a collaborative spirit, well-being and user experience set the tone for the realisation of this project, which stands out for its difference and thus inaugurates the renovated Ritz Galleries.

The generous outdoor terrace, ideal for socialising, extends the pantry space, creating an area that offers different experiences. The constant contact between exterior and interior takes advantage of the building’s formal characteristics, helping to create a very harmonious space in the heart of Lisbon.”
